Let’s start with the town of Asbury Park whose beach has just been named one of the best in the whole country in the Top 25 of the Travel and Leisure list.
Asbury Park got good marks in a number of areas according to the ranking, including for clean beaches, great views, a great place to swim, surf and sunbathe and have a stellar boardwalk with restaurants, mini-golf etc. .
This Monmouth County town’s beach and boardwalks are a real summer destination in themselves, but there are also a number of nearby attractions, from Convention Hall to the Stone Pony, Wonder Bar to Tim McLoone’s Supper Club , and great sights and sounds all around.
We asked Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn to join us to discuss what to expect this summer in Asbury Park.
There’s also plenty to do, see, and eat in Ocean County. Borough of Seaside Heights from now until Labor Day and beyond.
From Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach to shopping, arcades, rides of all kinds, great beaches, views and swimming areas plus beach movies including JAWS on the appropriate 3rd of July day and the weekend itself.
